Job description

We are seeking an administrative assistant to join our team part-time, assisting our Executive Administrator in all aspects of the office and providing support to our Perth office staff.

This is a great opportunity to become part of a well-established environmental/hydrogeological consulting firm, located in Jolimont and commemorating 50 years in the industry.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with a solid office administration background, capable of multitasking and quickly adjusting to supporting our team of 15 professionals.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering enquiries via phone and relaying messages/calls to the appropriate person
  • Typing, formatting, printing and binding of professional reports
  • Filing and general administration duties
  • Arranging travel bookings for field staff
  • Arranging  meetings and functions for clients and staff
  • Ordering catering and preparing tea/coffee for meetings
  • Assisting the Executive Administrator with admin tasks and providing backup support when absent
  • Maintaining the kitchen area(s) and ordering kitchen and stationery supplies
  • Ensuring good housekeeping within Admin area and various work areas throughout the office

Ideally the successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes: 

  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Access and Excel)
  • High attention to detail and ability to consistently provide quality work
  • Ability to multi-task
  • A positive and friendly temperament
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills and the ability to converse at all levels, both within the organisation and with external clients and suppliers
  • Typing speed of 70 wpm

The role

Permanent part-time position working approx. 11 hours per week over 2 days with some flexibility required, however there will be opportunity to provide additional admin support for annual/personal leave.
