We are seeking an administrative assistant to join our team part-time, assisting our Executive Administrator in all aspects of the office and providing support to our Perth office staff.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a well-established environmental/hydrogeological consulting firm, located in Jolimont and commemorating 50 years in the industry.
We are looking for a highly motivated person with a solid office administration background, capable of multitasking and quickly adjusting to supporting our team of 15 professionals.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering enquiries via phone and relaying messages/calls to the appropriate person
- Typing, formatting, printing and binding of professional reports
- Filing and general administration duties
- Arranging travel bookings for field staff
- Arranging meetings and functions for clients and staff
- Ordering catering and preparing tea/coffee for meetings
- Assisting the Executive Administrator with admin tasks and providing backup support when absent
- Maintaining the kitchen area(s) and ordering kitchen and stationery supplies
- Ensuring good housekeeping within Admin area and various work areas throughout the office
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Access and Excel)
- High attention to detail and ability to consistently provide quality work
- Ability to multi-task
- A positive and friendly temperament
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Sound verbal and written communication skills and the ability to converse at all levels, both within the organisation and with external clients and suppliers
- Typing speed of 70 wpm
The role
Permanent part-time position working approx. 11 hours per week over 2 days with some flexibility required, however there will be opportunity to provide additional admin support for annual/personal leave.
