Your new company
You will be managing a medium-sized monthly pay cycle for one of Australia’s leading, innovative companies within the North Sydney region. Office area has free onsite parking as well as local to facilities and niche restaurant locations. The office culture pride themselves on being proactive, professional, collaborative and friendly. You will manage a small team that work across awards, payroll processing and payroll-accounting/month-end reports. This is a short-term opportunity so perfect for someone immediately available wanting to step up and perform in a managerial role or perfect for someone looking for something short term whilst they figure out their next career move.
Your new role
In this fixed-term contract, you will be managing a team responsible for the following duties:
- Working and managing payroll along with awards and legislation
- Managing Preceda software finalising payruns for;
- 500+ staff monthly
- STP duties
- GL journals
- Month end reporting and accounting
- Adhoc payroll, HR processes
What you'll need to succeed
- Have a sound understanding of Awards
- Experience in large volume pay-runs
- Proficient in Preceda
- Savvy on Excel
- Sound knowledge of month-end processes
- Initiative, resilience and a can-do attitude to meet deadlines, learn processes and work within a team environment
- All-round communications skills written and spoken
- Approachable, adaptable and a team player
