The Team:
The payroll team at Mildura Base Public Hospital work hard to provide exceptional customer care and support for all employees. With our in-depth knowledge of the enterprise bargaining agreements, we happily answer queries regarding interpretation and payment, along with any other payroll related questions. We are here to guide and assist and ensure that you receive an accurate payment each fortnight.
The Role:
This is an exciting position in our Payroll Department which is developing with the implementation of new systems as well as the processing of fortnightly pay runs for 1250 staff.
This position is full time fixed term until May/June 2025 - 76 hours per fortnight, with the ability of remote work or to work flexible hours considered.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
- Extensive experience in payroll, including timeclocking systems
- Well-developed computer skills, including a good working knowledge of Excel
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Sound understanding and ability to interpret industrial instruments, PAYG tax and superannuation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience in liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience in the PayGlobal payroll system
- Sound understanding of Workcover, salary packaging and FBT.
- Ability to think strategically and be result focussed.
Duties include:
- Assist in the preparation of fortnightly payroll
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for new starters, redundancies and terminations
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate personnel records
- Complete payroll queries
- Preparation and reconciliation of payment summaries, superannuation contributions and all other payroll-related documentation
- Filing of documentation
- Other projects as directed by Payroll Manager
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
