Large Manufacturer In Geelong Seeking A Skilled Payroll Officer For A Part-Time Role Your new company Hays is partnered with a large well known manufacturing client who is seeking a skilled Payroll professional to join their team in Geelong in a part-time(22.8 hours a week, three days a week). The client is a major processor in the Geelong region, supplying large and small businesses across the region and state. Your new role As Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll function for two sites within the business. Payroll:
End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll for two sites.
Preparation and management of third party payments (i.e. Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Workcover and PAYG).
Maintain accurate employee payroll database records in an accurate and confidential manner.
Be the 'superuser' for the Payroll System (Employment Hero), continuing to utilise it to its fullest potential.
Provide accurate payroll reporting as required.
Prepare payroll related reconciliations including month-end/year-end.
Interpret and apply industry-related awards and applicable industrial instruments
Manage Payroll Shared Inbox, addressing team member queries effectively and promptly with appropriate escalation as needed.
Respond to enquires in a timely, professional and courteous manner
Keep up-to-date with the latest payroll trends and best practices.
General:
Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures and relevant Acts and Legislation
Display behaviours in line with PREP trademark behaviours & company core values at all times.
Ensure adherence and obligation to observe all environment and health requirements for a safe workplace in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 & Environment Protection Act 2017 (Vic).
Undertake other duties as required by the Company, including ad-hoc project work and corrective action initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
Three years End to end payroll (ideally for multiple sites)
Experience with 2 x fortnightly payrolls
Experience with 2 x monthly
Experience with Payrolls of 70 employees.
Employment Hero Experience is preferred.
Qualifications within a business-related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
