Our client operates across multiple entities and has a strong brand presence both locally and regionally. The Role
Reporting through to the Manager your duties will include:
- Processing end to end payroll in an efficient and timely manner
- Preparation and payment of Statutory payment calculations e.g. Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Workcover, PAYG etc
- Interpretation of awards and legislation and perform the correct application
- Review and verify authorised time sheets
- Processing new employee contracts and terminations
- Assisting with month – end reporting
- Build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with business units
- Solving system queries and data integrity work as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the payroll function
- Assist with other ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Team
- Previous experience as a Payroll Officer running an end-to-end function mandatory
- Experience processing larger pay runs (150 + staff or higher)
- Collaborative, team-based approach
- Sound knowledge of payroll processing, taxation, and relevant employment legislation
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify process improvements
