In this role, you will play a crucial part in guaranteeing the precise and punctual processing of employee payroll, maintaining accurate payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all pertinent legislation and company policies.
This job opportunity is for a Part-Time, Fixed-Term position located at our Corporate Office in Brisbane City. It's ideal for individuals seeking to work either 3 or 4 days per week with reduced hours. Availability to work from Wednesday to Friday is essential. You'll receive support from both a remote manager and an onsite Finance team.
About the Role
• Process end-to-end payroll for all employees, including new starters, terminations, and adjustments to pay and deductions
• Manage employee leave entitlements, including annual leave, personal leave, and long service leave.
• Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management, providing advice and guidance as required
• Assist with payroll-related reporting, including monthly and annual reports.
About You
With some experience under your belt, you will be keen to join an organisation that can offer you an opportunity to further develop your payroll skills within a collaborative and engaged team. Along with your “can do” attitude and hands-on approach, you will offer the following skills and attributes:
• A solid background in payroll processing and a working knowledge of applicable legislation
• Understanding of superannuation and various tax requirements, including Fringe Benefits Tax and salary packaging arrangements
• Working knowledge and experience working with and interpreting Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and Employment Agreements and Fair Work legislation
• A positive, team-focused attitude and the ability to roll your sleeves up and pitch in where required
• Deadline-driven with the capacity to prioritise and manage a busy workload in a dynamic environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks – especially when managing a high volume of transactions
• Strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement and customer service skills

Salary Packaging Options: As an employee of LifeFlight, you have the opportunity to benefit from salary packaging, allowing you to allocate up to $15,900 per Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year towards general living expenses. This includes covering various everyday costs like groceries, petrol, mortgage, rent, and school fees, providing you with added financial flexibility and support.
