We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing People Advisory team on a part time basis (0.6 - 0.8 FTE) or full time basis, this role would join our team in our National Support Office in Burnley (just behind Richmond) where we provide flexible and hybrid work options.
Reporting to our People Advisory Manager, in this role you will provide advice, support and solutions to our Bunnings leaders and team on all people related matters. You will be part of our team who are the first point of contact for all of our leaders and team members via phone and email across the country.
You will gain great exposure to a wide range of HR matters, allowing you to grow and develop your career and HR experience!
What's involved:
- Support employee relations grievances and any investigations
- Support the resolution of complex injury management matters
- Provide advice and guidance to leaders in our business over the phone and email
- Provide advice to stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements
- Negotiate outcomes that mitigate risks for the business and identify any employee relations trends
Who we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will have a HR background with a good understanding around employee relations and love the fast pace of a large organisation!
You'll need:
- Tertiary qualification in Law, HR, business, Commerce, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
- Good experience working in a HR role with focus on employee relations ideally within a multi-site organisation
- Understanding of and ability to interpret relevant Industrial Instruments (i.e. EA/Awards)
- Sound knowledge of employee relations legislation
- Experience before the Fair Work Commission and conciliations would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A track record of taking initiative and achieving pragmatic outcomes
- The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions.
