Job Role
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the plumbing department and ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Oversee and lead plumbing projects from start to finish, including installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Hire, train, supervise, and provide support and guidance to plumbing staff to ensure that all team members are equipped to deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations related to plumbing and construction.
- Prepare reports for management detailing project progress, outcomes, and required corrective actions.
- Provide professional and courteous communication and customer service to all clients and stakeholders.
Skills/Requirements
- Experience as a Plumbing Manager or supervisor in residential plumbing practices.
- Valid plumbing license or certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage and engage a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- A valid drivers licence
- White card.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends if/when required.
- Have experience with one or more of the following plumbing stages - rough-in/lock-up, downpipes/rollovers, fit-off, and appliance handovers.
- Adhering to health & safety requirements.
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding on all aspects of plumbing, coupled with the ability to work autonomously or within a team. You will be a natural leader, strong communicator, show great planning and organisation along with teamwork and driving others.
