Reporting to the Head of Procurement, our client is seeking a driven individual with previous experience in a procurement/ purchasing position. This role will take responsibility for all end to end Procurement activities, developing strong relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders and clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers ensuring delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop strategic procurement plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Maintain accurate reporting for all key areas, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
- Develop sourcing strategies to identify suppliers capable of meeting requirements and demand whilst minimizing risk and costs.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems, policies and procedures for the Procurement function.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
About You
- Previous experience in a Procurement or Purchasing role, mining or construction industry experience highly desirable.
- Experience using ERP software.
- High attention to detail with strong communication skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills .
- Proactive, driven individual with the ability to work to deadlines.
