We are a Melbourne based property development company with head office in Malaysia, an established public company listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. We have delivered residential projects of apartments and mixed used in Melbourne. Currently, there are a few ongoing projects in Auckland, NZ and Gold Coast.
The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager in a full-time role for our operations in Queensland. This role will suit a highly motivated individual with strong experience in construction and project management, confident and able to operate autonomously whilst being accountable, a good team player with effective communicate skill, able to operate autonomously and experience in property development industry will be an added advantage.
Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Project management responsibility throughout the life-cycle of projects in the capacity of a developer representative, on ongoing projects as well as any new projects
- Contribute and assist with due diligence activities and research on new projects opportunities as required
- Monitor, maintain and update feasibility studies, including monthly tracking for current and upcoming projects
- Work efficiently and collaboratively with internal accounts and finance teams in financial reporting, budget control, invoice processing and cost forecasting; including the preparation of the relevant reports and status updates
- Work collaboratively with marketing teams, internal and external, in development of marketing collateral and market research
- Work efficiently and collaboratively with other divisions within the company, which may be located interstate or overseas
- Prepare regular project updates for the internal team on weekly basis and senior management as required
- Create and manage project and development programs
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day project documentation and communications
- Manage and maintain Contract Administration processes in accordance with company protocols.
- Manage and maintain Document Control procedures in accordance with company protocols.
- Manage Procurement of consultants, contractors and suppliers including preparing RFQ/RFT, evaluation, assessment and recommendation to senior management through the company’s approval systems, in accordance with company protocols
- Manage the assessment of claims, variations, or extensions to contracts and any other contract admin matters pertaining to all development activities
- Maintain routine registers to ensure all instructions issued to consultants, builders and any other external parties are completed
- Manage all contractors and consultants in accordance with the requirements of the project and development objectives
- Complying with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policy and procedures
- Manage site walks on active projects with external parties as required
Required Skills & Experience:
- Ideally around 8 years Project Management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or Property related qualifications, Driver’s license.
- Experienced managing project risk, cost and delivery of projects valued at $20m+ (residential / mixed use)
- Relevant industry experience in procurement, tendering, project estimating and construction contract administration
- Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite and ideally Estatemaster DF/DM
- Have the relevant permit or status to work in Australia and residing in Queensland ideally
