Are you someone who has exceptional attention to detail, as well as a thorough understanding and experience working in property accounting? If so, due to our growing portfolio, we have the position for you to join our growing Property Accounting team at Sentinel Property Group as a Property Accountant.
What would your day-to-day look like?
Reporting to our Property Accounting Manager, as our Property Accountant, you will oversee a Property Portfolio and complete financial reports relating to the property operations and integrity.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Ensure financial integrity for a portfolio of allocated property assets;
- Produce accurate monthly financial reports, including profit & loss, revenue verification, balance sheet reconciliations, property forecasts, and cashflows;
- Monitor Net Property Income (NPI) and report on areas of concern/interest;
- Prepare analytical data for the company’s management team;
- Provide mentoring, assist in supervising, and provide direction to the Property Accounting team;
- Conduct periodic reviews of financial information to ensure integrity;
- Provide regular commentary and review of financial performance with the Property Accounting Manager and Asset Management;
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives, including overseeing the general ledger, understanding leasing and outgoing calculations, and preparing ad-hoc financial reports; and
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (internal and external) and provide financial advice and support when required.

Are you someone with?
- Thorough understanding and 3+ years’ experience working in a property accounting role;
- Experience in Retail Property Accounting (highly desirable);
- Experience in MRI Property Software (highly desirable);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel);
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
- CPA or CA Qualified (desirable)
