The Role
Diverse Group Australia require a Purchasing Administrator to join our team, on a full-time basis (38 hrs/week). The main focus of this role is to support operations through efficient and effective purchasing and expediting activities aiming at procuring goods and services at optimal quality and value in a timely manner.
This position will be reporting to our Operations Coordinator, and will be based in a Rivervale office, working Monday to Friday (8am-4pm)
Duties may include:
- Communicating with site and suppliers via phone and email
- Seeking competitive prices from suppliers and placing orders
- Providing a high level of administrative support to the Operations team with purchasing activities
- Build relationships with key business partners to support the planning, delivery and management of procurement services
- Manage end to end purchasing processes;
- Being responsible for confirming all purchase order contents, ensuring inspections requirements and reference to appropriate specifications and standards
- Liaise with Supervisors for all equipment required for projects & organise quotes as required
Requirements for this Role
- Proof of working rights in Australia i.e. Passport, Birth Certificate
- 1-2 years administration experience, ideally in a mining or construction industry
- Previous procurement experience ideal
- Excellent communication skills (phone, email)
- Able to work as part of a team
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
- Computer literate (Microsoft and Jobpac)
- Self-motivated, positive individual who can work with minimal supervision
