About your new role

We are looking for new team members who have experience in Purchasing or Accounts Payable functions for fixed-term opportunities at the City. These positions are located in Bundall on the Gold Coast.  

Your responsibilities in these roles may include:  

• Deliver cost-effective purchasing services, ensuring compliance with policies. 
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchasing requests.  
• Manage Accounts Payables, scanning and importing of invoice files promptly. 
• Process payment requests accurately and efficiently in accordance with Accounts Payable procedures, GST legislation, and Council’s Procurement Policy and Guidelines. 
• Continually review, assess, and process outstanding invoices in Council’s system to ensure that they are actioned expediently.

What you bring to your new role

To be successful in the role you will have: 

• Demonstrated understanding and experience in a similar purchasing or Accounts Payable role 
• The ability to prioritise high volumes of work to ensure deadlines are met 
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a range of internal and external customers and respect confidential and sensitive matters  
• Strong attention to detail  
• Sound knowledge and practical experience in a range of business software, with experience in SAP a bonus
