We are on the look-out for a Research and Development Chemist who will be working with an engaged team to develop world-class coatings and systems, that allow us to shape a brighter future with sustainable coating solutions for all markets across the world.
As the Research and Development Chemist you will:
- Peform Sample Preparation, testing and application
- Operate laboratory manufacturing and testing equipment with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve difficulties
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers
- Prepare internal and external reports
- Develop new and improved products that are required by the business units served.
- Support the manufacturing scale-up of new and improved products until they are proven successful
In order to be considered you will have:
- A Degree qualification in Chemistry or a related science discipline
- 2 years experience in an industrial laboratory. Having an understanding of formulation techniques and raw materials
- Experience within the coatings or chemical related industries would be ideal but not essential
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
- Great communication skills to engage with teams and stakholders accross the business
- A creative side that allows you to look outside the square
