Who You Are
You will be a self-motivated individual with previous relevant Safety and Quality experience and a solid understanding of the complexities of an airline operation.
What You Will Do
Under direction of the GM Safety & Quality, the S&Q Officer administers the safety and quality policies and procedures defined in the SMM and other Company subscribed documentation with respect to standards and performance requirements, key objectives, and action timeframes. This includes but is not limited to:
• Internal and external auditing.
• Assessing effectiveness of remedial and corrective actions with respect to occurrences, investigation, and audits outcomes.
• Assisting and managing audit findings to closure.
• Administration of Air Maestro system data, including reporting requirements and allocation of actions.
• Administration of the Risk management system, including reporting requirements.
• Promoting the SMM program, including any specific requirements within client or contract requirements, to stakeholders listed in Section 4 of this PD.
• Representing Skytrans at client meetings, as required, on matters pertaining to safety and quality, as endorsed by the GM Safety & Quality Manager and the Contract Manager/s as required.
• Coordinate the Skytrans Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
• Any other duties within the scope, capability, and training of the incumbent.
What You Need to Succeed:
To succeed in the role, the following skills and experience is desirable:
• Prior Auditing Experience;
• Understanding of general safety and quality policies and procedures;
• Strong administrative, time management and organisational skills;
• Experience working within the guidelines of an Aviation Safety Management System preferably Air Maestro;
• Aviation Safety Investigator or be able to complete training (preferred);
• Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety (preferred);
• Exposure to Risk management procedures;
• Exposure to Safety reporting.
