The Business Management Systems (or BMS) Sales Engineer is an exceptional, experienced software Sales Engineer that can demonstrate the solution in a value driven, tailored presentation and assist sales in generating revenue through technical validation for the prospect. This position assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. The Sales Engineer researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or services. Sales Engineers provide technical training to clients and communicates customer feedback for future product developments. Uses technical knowledge of product and service offerings to drive Sales support, generate pipeline, and help create an overall successful adoption of the product/service all the way to implementation and onboarding.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for representing both technical and functional aspects of our suite of products/services related to Business Management and proposing how these benefit prospective customers
- Provides exemplary technical expertise and independent creative discretion in producing technical and product demonstrations and presentations
- Executes proof of concepts with prospects at both a technical and business level to show the value through cloud trial and on premise environments
- Exercises discretion and judgement regarding product specifications required to address customer requirements, assess customers' needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value
- Proactively scopes technical solutions required to align product designs to customers' business by interpreting customer requirements
- Apply requirements in the form of standard or custom proof of concepts and trials to prospects in order to provide an effective means for them to evaluate our products
- Works independently or as part of a sales team with customers to position technology to both business and technical users in a consultative manner and through product capability assessments
- Prepare, research and provide input into technical RFPs/RFQs
- Act as a key point of contact for all Revenue staff to provide product knowledge and technology expertise through training, coaching and product support
- Maintains a thorough understanding of technical sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business cases, and technical deal closing
- Pursues and maintains professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training and education to ensure ability to work independently as a key professional resource to the revenue organization
- Expertise in the following ConnectWise Business Management software or similar solutions of the following products: ConnectWise Manage (i.e. a Professional Services Automation or 'PSA' solution) and ConnectWise Sell, (i.e. a Configure Price Quote or 'CPQ' solution)
- Knowledgeable with Managed Services from an industry and business ideology perspective
- At minimum, cursory knowledge on related categories of the ConnectWise software stack and how they are leveraged by our customer base: Security, Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Backup and Disaster Recover (BDR), and Remote Control
- Familiarity in regards to the means and process of engaging with and procuring from hardware resellers or manufacturers
- Demonstrated personal commitment and interest in continued professional development

- 2+ years of sales consultant or Sales Engineering experience preferred
- ConnectWise experience or certification preferred
- Proven sales track record of success and ability to identify opportunities and leverage internal & external resources appropriately
- CRM experience such as Salesforce.com, or equivalent
- Experience with a business process and management application such as a PSA, ERP, Service Delivery, CRM, Project Management, Procurement and/or Finance software
- Experience with a CPQ tool, with a base line understanding of each piece: Configure, Price, and Quote
- Experience in relevant channels: Managed Service Providers (MSP), value-added resellers (VAR), office technology (OE), Technology Service Providers (TSP), Audio Visual Integrators, or Internal IT
- Hybrid position in our Sydney, Australia office
