Senior Accountant

As the Senior/ Lead Accountant you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations. You will oversee a team of two dedicated staff members and be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of the AP and AR processes. Additionally, you will lead month-end closing activities, manage profit and loss statements, coordinate audits, and undertake various other financial tasks crucial to the success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures
• Manage a small team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment
• Oversee month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Prepare and analyse profit and loss statements, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
• Coordinate external audits, liaising with auditors to ensure compliance and resolve any issues identified
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and achieve organizational objectives
• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CA or CPA qualification is preferred
• Previous experience leading a small team in a similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
