x2 Roles available in the Research and Influence team at Respect Victoria:
* Senior Advisor, Research and Translation: Part time/Full time (negotiable), Fixed Term to 16 May 2025
* Senior Advisor, Research and Translation (Quantitative Analysis): Part time/Full time (negotiable), Fixed Term to 30 June 2025
Reporting to the Research Manager, both positions will lead and support initiatives to build knowledge and inform policy and practice in primary prevention of family violence and violence against women. They will have a strong focus on translating research findings and data analysis into evidence-informed resources and advice to drive policy, practice and communications impact.
The successful candidates will have high-level knowledge of current issues related to primary prevention practice and evidence-building, particularly with relation to family violence, violence against women and other forms of gender violence, and strong conceptual and analytical skills. The Senior Advisor, Research and Translation (Quantitative Analysis) will additionally have high-level skills in designing, implementing and communicating findings from quantitative analysis.
The positions will focus on scoping, designing and implementing small and large-scale research activities, including through the development of partnerships with academic, government and not-for-profit partners to co-produce different pieces of work. The roles will lead development of Research and Translation of that research in the prevention of family violence, violence against women and other forms of gender-based violence, including in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams across Respect Victoria. They will lead and co-develop dissemination of knowledge products, information, tools and advice to partners in the primary prevention and broader family violence sector.
