This large scale firm is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to strategically embark on the growth and development of the business in the Retail OR Education industry. To be successful in this role you will be highly experienced in services sales particularly in technology and outsourcing services.
This pivotal role involves cultivating leads, executing strategic deals, and following a proven Business Development process. You'll be instrumental in identifying investment opportunities, influencing buy decisions, and building lasting relationships with key stakeholders
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Identify and target opportunities
- Cultivate leads by leveraging personal and professional networks and conducting thorough research.
- Craft and implement a strategic deal strategy to secure long-term business success.
- Adhere to the internal Business Development process for effective and streamlined operations.
- Identify small investment opportunities within prospects and clients to tailor client-specific solutions and offerings.
- Harness both existing and new networks to exert influence on purchasing decisions.
- Forge relationships with influencers, decision-makers, and CXOs to establish a strong network.
- Attain annual strategic objectives by meeting goals, targets, KPIs, and thresholds consistently.
Experience required:
- Minimum 15 years in a Sales driven role
- 10 years in consultative sales of Information Technology & Business Process Services
- 5 years plus in driving large bids directing small and virtual teams and sales strategy development and execution to WIN multi-year and multi-million dollar business
- 5 years plus experience in sales in the Retail or Education industry
Requirements:
To be successful in this role you must have the experience within the following:
- Extensive consultative sales experience
- Management experience directing and motivating bid teams
- Experience in marketing to the buying organisations within target accounts
- Strong understanding of the Information Technology Products & Services, and Technology Governance in an Outsourced Environment
- Experience working with technical individuals located in international locations virtually
- Knowledge of Domain, Operations IT, IT Infrastructure, and Digital / Security products and services
- Understanding of sales process, buying process in Govt and Private sectors, in the domains as mentioned above.
