Your role will require you to not only build and maintain strong and dynamic working relationships with staff within the NNTT and the broader Entity, but also a variety of external stakeholders from across the Native Title sector including staff from other Commonwealth agencies, government departments and native title representative bodies.
As a member of the Business Support Team, you will work closely with fellow team members to assist the Director of Business Support with activities and projects pertaining to NNTT's corporate functions including finance, administration and human resources where required.
The position requires strong interpersonal communication and time management skills along with the ability to problem solve and quickly and efficiently manage competing priorities in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
The key duties of the position include
- Deliver high-quality support to the NNTT President and Registrar through the efficient coordination and management of diaries, meetings, travel, records and internal and external correspondence.
- Prepare, draft, and review high-level, complex and often sensitive communications ensuring confidentiality, timeliness, and accuracy. Communications may include: briefings, funding proposals, reports, agendas, meeting minutes, internal and external correspondence and spreadsheets.
- Conduct research, analyse information and collate materials at the request of the President and Registrar to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Monitor, evaluate and contribute to the development of business practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the NNTT Executive, liaise with stakeholders and action requests to coordinate communication and proactively ensure responses meet deadlines.
- Foster strong working relationships with the NNTT President, Registrar and Members, senior management and NNTT staff and proactively build constructive working relations with external stakeholders.
- Provide support and assistance to the Business Support Team and the Director of Business Support on a variety of projects as required.
- Coordinate and collaborate on a broad range of projects traversing all NNTT business units.
- Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgement and the ability to conduct work with integrity, discretion and tact.
- Adhere to the Australian Public Service Values and Code of Conduct, including the ability to operate as an effective and impartial representative of the NNTT.
Note: Tasks and duties of the role may change from time to time, subject to operational needs. Some travel will be required, possibly to remote locations.
