As our organisation grows globally, across 9 countries with over 3000 staff, the newly created People Technology and Insights team will be pivotal in its purpose of enabling our people to work easily and effectively at scale. This team is responsible for APAC wide implementation, maintenance, reporting and the management of systems and applications across People and Culture at Seek.
The Role
Please note this role is initially a 12-month fixed term parental leave cover.
As our Senior HCM Specialist, you are accountable for planning, delivery, and support of HCM solutions across the P&C team. You bring a continuous improvement lens ensuring our P&C technologies are best practice and our ways of working are effective and efficient!
Reporting into the HCM Technology manager, the primary system this role deals with is Workday HCM. This role works across all areas of P&C and requires a collaborative and adaptable mindset. As a senior systems specialist, you mentor the team, build their capability, and bring forth ideas to continually improve and evolve our ways of working.
The primary responsibilities of the position include:
- Understand and maintain the overall P&C technology eco-system in partnership with the Finance and Technology teams, as well as the various third-party vendors (including the Application Management Services provider)
- Serve as a strong consultative partner with the P&C function and with business stakeholders, to continuously improve service delivery, including facilitation and requirements gathering.
- Apply strong Workday functional, configuration and security capabilities.
- Support the HCM System Administrators and partner with the HCM Data & Analytics Manager and Analysts
- Fully participate in all areas of prioritising, planning and delivery, including the application of the continuous improvement framework and end-to-end business process mapping
- Participate and represent at various technology and digital experience and governance forums and play an active lead and/or SME role in HCM technology related projects.
- Effective problem solving and managing defect resolutions, triaging and escalations.
- Maintain system documentation and document management repositories.
- Release management including the co-ordination of resources, testing activities and stakeholder management.
We are looking for an experienced systems professional with proven experience in HCM technology related programs of work, ideally in a stream lead role. Experience with Workday HCM is a must for this role and deep understanding of multiple Workday streams, release management processes, including the engagement of key partners, AMS providers and Workday.
- Workday HCM training and certification/s, and ‘hands-on’ solution delivery
- Experience across multiple HR technologies and tools, across the HR lifecycle where workflow configurations and approvals have been implemented.
- Strong problem solving, attention to detail and planning and analytical capability, with ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate and gather business requirements, user needs and translate them into pragmatic digital solutions.
- Effective interpersonal and influencing skills, including demonstrated experience in managing and collaborating with cross functional teams across geographies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that can be adapted to range of business scenarios, with ability to communicate with impact.
- Apply design thinking and journey mapping as part of the overall solution with technology as a key enabler.
- Project Management experience, including Agile and using collaboration tools like Trello, JIRA, Confluence, Miro, and Slack
