The Village Chef by Meals on Wheels has been providing an incredible service to the community since 1961. Our chef prepares gourmet food in our Turramurra kitchen and then our team of dedicated volunteers deliver these to our clients in northern Sydney. They deliver more than just a meal though as they also provide social connection.
We have three sites (in Turramurra, Hornsby and Mona Vale). This is a casual role to assist in peak demand periods and to fill in for our coordinators when they take leave.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience in aged care preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in a customer service role strongly preferred
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Intermediate computer skills with capability in Microsoft Office and an ability to learn new systems
- Good time management skills
Tasks & responsibilities
- Volunteer coordination - scheduling volunteers for runs.
- Client coordination - ensuring client needs are appropriately met.
- Service coordination - managing meal runs efficiently.
- Update the client management system accurately and communicate all relevant client information with peers.
