The Client
Our Client is a leading equipment distribution company who supply to mining and construction industries throughout Australia is currently seeking an experienced Service/Parts Coordinator to join their growing team.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Service/Parts Department's processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with Parts Manager to drive the success of Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives;
- Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes both rolling and biannual stocktaking procedures;
- Create and implement sales campaigns to drive sales across the company’s key brands;
- Participate in the stocktaking process (regular checking and valuing of goods) and update computer data, provide status reports to management;
- Monitor and manage changes to pricing and provide appropriate information to company sales representatives regarding sales opportunities;
- Using specialist knowledge, interpret customer part requirements via phone or counter;
- Perform a range of tasks including the receipt, storage and delivery of spare parts and accessories;
- Order parts from suppliers, preparing and processing documents such as purchase orders, invoices and inventory documents;
Essential Criteria
- Good working knowledge of and experience with engine products, parts and services
- Knowledge of BDM parts lines and other brands that are marketed by BDM
- Excellent communication, customer service and sales skills
- Professional telephone manner
- Knowledge of computerized parts processing systems or the ability to acquire such knowledge
- Forklift license desirable
- First Aid qualifications desirable
- Carry out administrative duties in an efficient and timely manner
- Safety: Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures at all times. Promote adherence to all internal safety requirements as indicated in the BDM Occupational Health and Safety Policy
