The Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Shutdown Development Manager to join our Energy and Resources team. Reporting to the Regional Manager, The Shutdown Manager is accountable for the sourcing, development, and ongoing growth of the Qld /NT Shutdown Business. As a functional and recoverable business unit the Shutdown Manager is accountable for developing strong working relationships with energy and Resource customers and for delivering high quality and efficient projects through-out the range of services. As a member of the QMLT, the Shutdown Manager is responsible for developing and meeting strategic goals as developed by the Queensland Energy and Resources Leadership team.
Skills and experience
In order to thrive in this position the following attributes are highly valued:
- Highly experienced in sourcing and managing Medium to Large shutdowns.
- Project Management and/or relevant engineering qualifications
- Highly experienced in Sales.
- Relevant Trade Qualification Electrician / Mechanical Fitter or other relevant Trade.
- A proven track record in sourcing and management of Shutdowns.
- Proven strong relationships within the mining industry.
- Strong relationships within the Coal industry Qld.
- Prior experience in managing a profit and loss.
- Current drivers licence.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and develop a positive safety culture across the business
- Proactively visit customer sites on a regular basis to ensure service levels are consistently met or exceeded
- Positively promote Programmed services to existing and new clients
- Deliver professional proposals/quotes to current and potential clients
- Drive safety improvement through the regular delivery of safety talks and site inspections
- Maintaining compliance and an accurate account history for existing and prospective clients
