This exciting role
We are looking for a SIL Service Coordinator who has experience managing high complex / challenging behaviours. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Supported Independent Living program. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with NDIS and management expertise. You will need to have a strong understanding of team goals whilst ensuring these goals are serving the strategic vision of the organisation. You will create and maintain transparency within the program which allows all relevant stakeholder to respond and contribute appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining rostering of support workers for your clients
- Communicating directly to clients, family members, external stakeholders and support workers.
- Implement and maintain effective communication and information management systems
- Monitoring and ensuring NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission reporting obligations are provided and maintained.
- Exercise initiative in the application of established work procedures for the benefit of Service Users
- Oversee assessment and review of client/family support needs and ensure service delivery appropriate to the ongoing needs of service users
- Manage budget as per Purchasing Guidelines
- Maintain and build relationships with existing clients and key referrers such as Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, and Allied Health Professions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the below, or have a willingness to obtain:
- Degree qualified, preferred; or Certificate III in Disability with considerable experience
- Proven experience in Disability Service Leadership (3 – 5 years desirable)
- Experience in SIL settings and with complex behaviours
- Current Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Workers Screening
- Awareness of NDIS polices and procedures
