As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of this busy kitchen, you will help create menus, stock control, ensure wastage is kept to a minimum, maintain strict adherence to all health and safety requirements. Oversee the smooth running of service, delivering quality meals in a timely and organized manner.
You will need a sense of urgency and be able to work well in a team environment.
Skills we are looking for:
Creating menu plans, assessing expenses for both food and Labour, and
procuring necessary food items.
• Engaging in conversations about food preparation matters with management,
dietitians, and kitchen and service personnel.
• Supervising the standard of dishes throughout their preparation and serving
phases.
• Illustrating culinary techniques and offering guidance on cooking methods.
• Possibly recruiting and instructing staff.
• Potentially employing freezing and preservation methods for foods.
• Performing food preparation and cooking tasks.
• Providing explanations and ensuring adherence to hygiene standards.
• Coordinates and arranges the preparation and cooking of food within a dining
or catering setting.
We are open Tuesday-Sunday kitchen hours 11am-9pm, plus public holidays.
