A highly experienced Medical Receptionist is required for an immediate start for specialist practice. Adjoining the medical precinct in Coburg, this specialist group brings together one of the most highly experienced haematologists and laboratory trained professionals in Australia. You will have the pleasure of working within a large, supportive administration team.
A very rewarding role, as Specialist Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of call and as a valued team member, you will have the continued gratitude and utmost respect from the specialists as you help them navigate their way through their busy schedules taking the pressure off them, so they can ensure they are delivering the best possible care to the patients.
HOURS: 20 hours per week rostered between 9.00 am – 5.00 pm (4 hours per day flexible)
Responsibilities include the following:
Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner
Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner
Utilise the clinic software system (Genie) effectively
Make and reschedule appointments
Follow up pathology results
Record appropriate information on new clients
Bill patients and receipt of same
Operate EFTPOS machines
Receive and convey messages accurately in writing, verbally and electronically
Liaise with clinic medical staff, allied health institutions and professionals
Data entry
Admin and mail duties
Adhere to end of day procedures.
Undertake banking reconciliation processes at end of day
To be considered for this role you will possess the following:
Excellent communication skills
Computer literacy (Genie preferred, but not essential)
Solid keyboard skills
Compassionate and empathetic nature
Previous experience of working in a busy medical practice
