Position
There is now a fantastic opportunity for a State Sales Manager VIC/ SA/ NT to join the Melbourne team. This Sales Manager role will see you managing a team across three states selling the full range of EQUIPMENT HIRE solutions to both existing and new clients ranging in size from multi-nationals to small operations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage a tight knit team of territory managers based across 3 states
- Achieve and exceed hire sales budgets
- Manage staff and strategies across several industry segments (mining, construction, contractors)
- Overseas the entire sales process from beginning to end
- Maintain and develop a strong relationship with current new and past customers
- Recruit, employ and train new sales staff
- Report as required on sales, budget and strategic objectives
- Represent the company at shows, exhibitions and business forums
- Attend and participate in weekly sales meetings and sales conferences, as required
The company has an office based out of Keysborough in Melbourne's SE however this role can be entirely remote WFH for the right candidate.
The position will require travel to both Adelaide & Darwin once per quarter or as necessary.

Candidate
To be a successful candidate for this job you will have come from a strong sales management background, preferably within the construction plant & equipment, heavy machinery or civil industries.
The following attributes would be highly desirable:
- Track record of high achievement within B2B sales
- Experience managing, motivating and getting the most of out your sales team
- Construction, mining or civil industry knowledge
- Equipment hire experience from within generators or compressors, earthmoving plant, access equipment/ EWPs or general hire
- Ability to work completely autonomously
- Sales driven and a natural rapport builder
With strong written and verbal communication skills you'll pride yourself on being able to nurture and develop strong business relationships to result in prosperity for both client and company. You must be self-motivated and will strive within a company culture that rewards effort and commitment to the team.
