With many guests choosing to host their Wedding Day with us, we have an incredible full-time position for a passionate Wedding & Events Coordinator to join our Sales and Events Team.
The Opportunity
This role forms part of our Sales Team that is dynamic, fast-paced, and guest focused. Joining some of the best and brightest people in the hospitality and events industry, you’ll report directly to the Sales Manager, where you will actively participate in coordinating and curating unique wedding experiences from initial enquiry through to the big day, to deliver the Q signature experience for our guests and community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections with clients.
- Liaise with client in the lead up to weddings and events.
- Co-ordinate between operations and relevant departments to ensure all preparations for weddings and events are confirmed prior to the event.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly Banquet Event Order meetings.
- Communicate with the Operations Team and relevant departments on the day of the event to ensure the event runs smoothly and all guest requirements are actioned.
- Assist in the maintenance of weddings & Events database of key contacts / clients.
- Respond to wedding enquiries via phone and email.
- Prepare Banquet Event Orders in Ivvy.
- Work a flexible roster which includes regular Saturdays, occasional Sundays and Public Holidays.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience coordinating Wedding & Events with direct client contact.
- You are hands on, energetic, and able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- You take a creative, yet practical approach.
- Proven ability to work within a team environment where attention to detail is essential.
- Experience and competency in using Event Management systems or Hotel PMS is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with team members, key contacts, and VIPs.
- Maintain a current driver's license. The ability to drive a manual vehicle is advantageous!
- Maintain a current RSA certification.
