Football Victoria (FV) is the governing body for football (soccer) in Victoria with a clear purpose to inspire and enable Victorians from all walks of life to live and love football, for life.
As a member federation of Football Federation Australia and through the national body's affiliation with FIFA (Federation of International Football Associations), we look after the administration, promotion and delivery of football and futsal (indoor football) across the state including:
- semi-professional ranks
- amateurs
- women and girls
- youth
- referees
- coaches
- officials
- volunteers
Our team of more than 70 people helps to deliver over 40,000 football matches every football season, through the scheduling of annual fixtures and by setting appropriate rules of competition. We also support our appointed match officials, alongside the many thousands of club volunteers, in playing a vital role in making the game happen week in, week out.
A fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Officer is currently available at Football Victoria. Based at the world class Home of The Matilda’s in Bundoora the role is responsible for performing the day to day process of the Accounts function, whilst supporting the broader Finance team.
You will:
- Provide support in the accounts receivable function.
- Be responsible for providing financial and administrative support in order to ensure effective, efficient, timely and accurate financial and administrative operations.
- Process incoming invoices in line with FV’s policies and procedures
- Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
- Maintain the general ledger through monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with related commentaries
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Work with external auditors in preparing the annual statutory financial statements
- Assist in budget preparations and reforecasting including liaising with Budget Managers
- Debtor management (including invoicing)
- Receipting (including PayPal, Try Booking and Go1 transfers)
- Preparing daily bank statement receipts
- Debtor receipt allocations
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Previous and current Accounts Payable and Receivable experience
- Outstanding organisational skills and demonstrated experience of ethical and integrity-based leadership
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Outstanding verbal and written skills that focus on key drivers and strategic outcomes
- Current Working With Childrens Check
- Previous experience in Sporting organisation will be highly regarded.
