Within the Energy Queensland Finance Division you will find a dedicated team of 73 members who are crucial in the successful operation of the business. The Finance Division encompasses the Financial Planning, Policy & Taxation, Treasury & Corporate reporting and, the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable teams. What we can tell you about this role.Working as an Accounts Payable Officer for a twelve (12) month fixed term contract within the high performing Accounts Payable team, you'll contribute to delivering quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Your day will consist of working within a team of 21 fellow professionals, investigating the compliance of payment claims and then approving or rejecting as required, to meet the legislations and standard work practices.You'll manage requests and queries from suppliers to ensure their needs are met whilst considering the business impacts.Managing the workload priorities for payments will be critical to ensure all transactions are completed within the required timeframes. Ideally you'll be located in the Newstead or Rockhampton offices of Energy Queensland for the term of this engagement. The remuneration for your new role is $83 - $95K plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and $95 - $105K plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight

You hold a Certificate III in Business Administration or you have current demonstrated experience in a role equivalent to these qualifications. You’ll be agile and comfortable with managing multiple priorities, which at times may have shifting deadlines and, you’ll bring highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, so you can support and influence decisions, and forge positive relationships.You have a demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in systems, applications and office technology, including appropriate specialist applications and Microsoft Office suite, to carry out required tasks. You also have the ability to determine solutions to complex problems within the scope of work, based on past precedents and practices.Who are we?Energy Queensland is the group of electricity distribution, retail, and energy services businesses 100% owned by the state of Queensland.
