Summary
New Life Construction is growing and we are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Carlton to provide vital support to the New Life team. This is a varied role which plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Answering phones and managing reception.
- General Administration, including email management, scheduling appointments and preparing documentation.
- Prepare and process purchase orders for materials and equipment.
- Assist with project compliance requirements. This may include managing permits, licenses, and safety documentation.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and registration.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Aroflo or similar construction management software.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional phone etiquette and clear written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
