We are greyhound lovers who support the exciting and vibrant sport of greyhound racing at every stage of the lifecycle from breeding, racing to retirement. Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) is a body corporate constituted by the Greyhound Racing Act 2017 charged with providing strategic direction and leadership in the commercial management of the industry in NSW. In its role GRNSW promotes the exciting racing aspect of the industry, but also the equally important welfare and rehoming of our animals once their athletic careers are behind them through numerous pathways including the newly introduced international avenues. Through its commercial work, GRNSW aims to ensure the sustainability and long-term commercial viability of the industry for the benefit of participants, business partners and the community.
GRNSW are seeking an Administrative Assistant who is responsible for assisting the essential and day-to-day administrative, record keeping and data entry tasks to support the Regional Greyhounds as Pets (GAP) Program. We're seeking candidates with strong administration skills, proficiency in Excel and data entry, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in administrative roles or customer service is essential, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sufficient greyhound adoption and fostering information packs to meet demand
- Assist the role supervisor with diary management, including confirming appointments and ensuring relevant information is provided prior to each appointment
- Support the day-to-day care and welfare of greyhounds awaiting re-homing under the GAP Program
- Manage the movement of documentation relating to the GAP Program
- Collaborate with the Administrative & Marketing Team to ensure that full and accurate records are maintained regarding all fostering and adoption applications
- Coordinate travel arrangements for the GAP Program team as required
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels, including promotional materials, and other items relating to the day-to-day running of the program
- Represent GRNSW and the GAP Program at promotional / publicity events as required
- Act as a liaison point for GAP Program enquiries with industry participants and prospective greyhound owners
Requirements:
- Excellent administration skills and experience working with a variety of systems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, including the ability to liaise professionally with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent attention to detail and sound problem-solving skills.
- Initiative, flexibility and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Proficient in Excel and data entry and salesforce experience is highly regarded
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion or an interest in animal care and welfare
