AO4 Prosecutions Support Officer
All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are currently seeking an AO4 Prosecutions Support Officer
for a temporary role until 30th June 2024 with the possibility of extension.

Brisbane CBD location
The Prosecutions Support Officer will provide high level administrative and paralegal support to the Legal Officers in their management of prosecutions before Queensland Courts.
Duties include:
Work cooperatively in a professional and administrative team environment, ensuring that a proactive approach is taken to the conduct of prosecutions with a focus on providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Provide assistance to Legal Officers to proactively manage a caseload of prosecutions.
Liaise and communicate with counsel, workers, employers, insurers, and their legal representatives in relation to prosecutions.
Undertake administrative activities including preparation of briefs and pre-trial checklists, arranging lay and expert witnesses for conferencing and to give evidence at hearing liaising with barristers, drafting legal documents and correspondence for Legal Officer approval, ordering transcripts of proceedings, Verdict and Judgement records etc.
Undertake legal research and keep internal legal education resources updated.
Contribute to maintaining accurate and fulsome internal files and records
Assist with the preparation of internal procedures and guidelines and undertake general administrative duties.
Exercise a high level of autonomy and flexibility, evidencing well developed organisational skills to ensure timely and proactive caseload administration.
Requirements:
Recent 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative role within a professional office environment, preferably in a legal or dispute resolution setting as a paralegal.
Demonstrated ability to prepare correspondence and legal documents.
Proficiency in Adobe and electronic file management with intermediate to advanced word processing and data entry skills.
Sound knowledge, or the ability to acquire knowledge, of the procedures of the Industrial Magistrates and District Court.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and tailor messages to suit the audience.
Ability to undertake legal research, including experience considering and applying legal principles would be highly regarded.
