About the role:
Reporting to the National Aviation Operations Manager, this is a newly created role to provide effective leadership, motivation and execute operational business excellence across Aviation Operations.
This role will primarily develop, implement projects and initiatives including business improvement, revenue streams, inventory, optimising third party activities and contract renegotiation and/or compliance to contracts.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage 3rd party agreements to ensure safe and compliant operation.
- Ensure effective safety and operational management systems.
- Drive performance and sustainability to ensure long term growth.
- Ensure compliance is adhered to at all aspects of Ampol and Legislative requirements.
- Provide operational input for strategic and key projects.
- Be the champion of continuous improvements and initiatives.
- Ensure business processes operation seamlessly across departmental interfaces (Supply, Finance, P&C, B2B sales).
- Work closely and maintain cross functional stakeholder relationships
About you:
You have proven strong operational leadership experience preferably within Aviation Operation and/or Fuel industry. Your high level of strategic skills and commercial acumen will thrive in this role with strong interpersonal skills to positively engage, build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationship.
Key skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership and operational experience within fuel or related industry
- Strong understanding of fuel and Aviation industry within Australia
- High level of Business and Commercial acumen
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop and communicate a clear vision for Ampol's joint venture partnerships
- Effective risk management experience both operationally and commercial
- Effective influencing and negotiating skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
