We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Business Development Manager specialising in solution selling across Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth regions. Dematic's Real Time Logistics division offers solutions across the supply chains of the retail and wholesale distribution, e-commerce, grocery, food and beverage, manufacturing and transport industries. Our experience and 'best-in-class' approach covers:
- mobile computing and logistics IT systems, and
- the implementation of technologies such as voice-directed computing,
- RF handheld and
- vehicle mount computers, printers, scanners and the wireless infrastructure
- that connects field computing capabilities with management information systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilise industry knowledge and networking expertise to develop new leads within the logistics/material handling market
- Develop sales prospects of sufficient quality and quantity to achieve sales and contribution budgets within the defined industry sector
- Develop and implement a sales territory plan to achieve sales quotas via agreed strategies and action plans
- Represent company solutions and services by developing a deep and comprehensive understanding of customer supply chain operations
- Build strong relationships with new customers, fully understanding their key requirements and supporting business objectives
- Monitor satisfaction of customer requirements from enquiry through to implementation and on-going servicing
- Develop and maintain effective on-going relationships with WMS/ERP companies, Industry Consultants and Partner companies
- Lead the tender submission process, ensuring all key stakeholders are engaged
- Ensure smooth and complete hand over of contracts and orders to the designated Project Manager
ABOUT YOU
Successful candidates will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- 3 years New Business Development experience within IT/Solution selling industries.
- Proven track record of effective Business Development, successfully meeting and exceeding targets
- Experienced and confident engaging with senior stakeholders and industry leaders
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
- Experience within the supply chain/logistics industry and related support solutions are highly regarded
- Qualifications in Engineering, Commerce or Logistics are also highly regarded
