The BDM’s primary objective of the role is to be responsible for developing and establishing new business relationships with prospective customers, key influencers, and increasing our customer base and sales for both training in our centres and in the workplace.

The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of new business relationships with various industries.
This role works to achieve retention targets and profitable growth by leveraging and maintaining relationships through developing relationships with selected stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with key staff and develop an in depth understanding of each business structure, complexity, client issues and objectives
- Achieve agreed sales targets through growth, retention and conversion strategies.
- Manage customer responses and training negotiations
- Gather and share industry and market intelligence to build understanding and identify trends to improve competitive advantage and positioning
- Take ownership of sales budget, drive sales results and deliver outcomes to build revenue
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
What you'll bring
- Minimum of 4 years of experience driving new business
- Minimum 2 years BDM experience, in Construction, Warehousing or Logistics
- Labour hire/ plant hire experience also an advantage
- Solid client-facing sales experience
- Experience dealing with Intermediaries with a strong existing relationship base
- Experience in sales and quote preparations
- Experience using CRM systems
- Understanding of a sales process
- Commercial understanding of sales achievement and development on business and added value selling with service
- Sales driven, ability to negotiate within L4W guidelines and deal closure
