Direct Personnel Services are always looking to grow, excel and become the leading provider in labour hire and recruitment services. We are on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to contribute to this next successful growth phase.
You will be walking into an established office with great staff, great clients & great candidates. We are wanting you to manage, protect and grow our Business Development with existing clients, and engage in proactive, innovative sales strategies to develop new business opportunities.
The role:
- Expand the business within its existing clients and form and implement strategies to gain new client business in collaboration with the Branch Manager, ensure the implementation of the Sales and Action Plans for the branch.
- Monitor Sales for the branch and proactively work to identify client’s needs and offer solutions through cross selling, up selling and client retention.
- Exceed sales and margin targets through effectively structured activity in line with the strategic growth plan.
- Regular client / site visits to manage client relationships. Supply of quality service.
- Reporting on sales activity, competitor activity, networking activity, and market trends.
- Gaining a deep understanding of our current clients and the candidates to establish true employment fit.
- Build a strong rapport with all levels of the client’s organisation.
- Be responsible for the communication of promotional events to highlighted clients.
- Maintain client contract health across the client portfolio.
- Assist with promotional plans to increase DPS’s profile within the client / industry group.
- Tender for business through advertised contracts, cold calling / site visits and face to face meetings.
- Ensure and provide a high standard of client service at DPS by displaying friendly, responsive, courteous, and effective communication to client enquiries, increasing value to existing DPS clients and prospective clients.

- Demonstrated sales experience, skills and/or training.
- Previous experience with sales/budget preparation and tracking/reporting.
- High standard of professional conduct, personal presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ideally you will come from an industrial background (manufacturing, construction or similar).
