ABOUT THE ROLE
Origin Energy is seeking an outstanding Business Development Manager to work a defined territory in the Sydney Metro Area and drive new business sales in a B2B environment.
The Business Development Manager is required to display strong “hunter” & cold calling attributes that facilitates the necessary behaviours for the team to succeed. You will achieve this by winning new business through prospecting, marketing and network referral approaches across the full range of energy products & services.
Reporting into the NSW Sales Manager, this position will play an integral role in developing Commercial & Industrial business opportunities. This role within the business gives the individual opportunity for career progression in many related energy markets.
Responsibilities include:
Grow customer numbers, volume and sales margin in the Sydney metro region
Provide timely and relevant competitor information and market intelligence on a weekly basis
Develop a sales pipeline through prospecting and maintaining a CRM tool
Communicate sales leads and new business opportunities to other teams
Working closely with all internal stakeholders to achieve customer success and delivery of energy requirements
Comply with Origin HSE, codes of practice, standards, policies and operating procedures
Meet safety and HSE requirements within area of responsibility
ABOUT YOU
Your success in this role will be determined by your excellent skills as a top salesperson and your ability to build strong relationships.
Attributes in the following areas would be favourable:
Previous selling experience in a B2B environment
Positive attitude with a capacity to learn and develop.
Determined and enthusiastic
Relationship management skills/techniques
Acquisition experience in competitive environment
Evidence of successful cold calling experience
Sales pipeline management
Ability to provide values added solutions
Flexible hours with regional and interstate travel
Current drivers license
This position is for general business hours and may also require regional travel as well as interstate travel from time to time.
