As we complete the final key roles in our sales team, we are looking for sales professionals who can demonstrate success selling courier, taxi truck and specialised logistics solutions. Being one of our key focus areas and with huge potential, it is essential we find the right people who can hit the ground running through the opportunities that will present themselves as well as their own extensive network and knowledge in this area of the business.
The role
Reporting into the Sales Manager – Health and Freight Forwarders, the primary responsibility of this role is to grow revenue by finding and introducing new business to achieve your sales goals. You will work autonomously but also as part of the state sales team.
Key duties
- Achieve new business targets within courier, taxi truck and specialised logistics.
- Identify new prospective customers.
- Develop solutions and strategies to close new business for each opportunity.
- Identify and introduce new market segments to the business.
- Uphold company culture and high standards.
- Maintain and report pipeline/closed activity.
Qualifications & experience
- We are looking for a sales specialist who can source new business in the Health and Freight Forwarders arena.
- At least 2 years in Business Development in either of these markets.
- A self-motivated “hunter” who enjoys the buzz of hunting, discovering and closing new business.
- Strong listening and negotiation skills
- Ability to clearly report own activity, pipeline and results.
- Constant willingness to develop.
- Sales experience and Transport experience required.
