The role:
APV-Safety Products is seeking an individual who is passionate about safety, understands our market and the value of creating partnerships with customers, to become part of our team in Campbellfield, VIC. APV- Safety Products prides itself on the long-term service history of staff and strives to provide an excellent work environment for employees at all levels of the organisation.
The primary objective of this role is to achieve revenue growth by identifying & pursuing business opportunities across the APV market sectors, and sales channels. Initial focus will be on the industrial and mining sectors via traditional and e-commerce sales channels (the APV online store).
Scope/The detail:
- Take ownership of the APV Safety Products sales, Business Development and marketing plan for Australia in accordance with the annual business plan/roadmap with a key focus on growth and diversification.
- Develop promotional strategies to grow the APV Safety Products brand and sales of APV Safety Products SKUs within Australia.
- Manage customer accounts ensuring customer expectations are met, exceeded and accurate with timely forecasting. Ensure that future product development needs are understood and managed.
- Meet or exceed and report on sales targets. Maintain compliance with customer expectations and contracts. Report DIFOT performance against customer expectations/contracts. Develop, review and prepare customer contracts for General Manager approval.
- Create and coordinate presentations with customers, industry associations and appropriate support groups, highlighting company product and service capabilities.
- Make recommendations to the GM regarding pricing levels, rebates and promotional assistance for APV Safety Products customers. This is inclusive of suggesting website content, Catalogue production ideas and Quarterly Newsletter content and deployment of Customer Satisfaction surveys.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, competitor activities and product standards to identify strategic opportunities for growth.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications or 5-10 yrs experience in technical sales, marketing or relevant industry experience. It would be advantageous if you have worked in industrial markets specialising in occupant restraints, automotive, bus and coach, specialty vehicles, aviation or military.
- Aptitude to understand and communicate with audience (customer through to APV engineering/design team) in technical and layman's terms.
- Good presentation and networking skills.
- Experience with the methods of Strategic Selling. e.g. Miller Heiman is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience and demonstrable ability to develop and manage an online store e.g Shopify is advantageous.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
