Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and pursuing strategic partnerships, exploring new markets, and driving revenue growth. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute Business Development strategies that align with Koala Living's objectives. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success and shape the future of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and new market segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Trade, builders, architects, interior designers, stylists and industry influencers.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand Koala Living's presence in target markets.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify areas for growth and differentiation.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure favourable terms and agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for Business Development initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
- Representing Koala Living in Trade/industry shows
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
Proven track record of success in Business Development, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the furniture or retail industry is a plus.
