How you’ll make an impact
The Business Development Manager (BDM) - Communities is responsible for executing the Sales Strategy through seeking and generating new business (outbound calls, appointments, eDMs, expos, presentations, networking) and the account management of contacts/referrers supporting CareChoice sales functions to achieve targets.
The role of the Business Development Manager - Communities is to enable growth of service with a focus on new business in line with sales targets and the strategic plan. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Sales.
A day in the life as the BDM - Communities with CareChoice, some of your key tasks include:
- Executing the Sales Strategy for CareChoice, including specific strategies for Community referrers through the execution of proactive Business Development activities.
- Identifying and creating leads, vetting for quality and converting into an intake meeting where handover to the Client Engagement Manager will occur.
- Driving activity with a focus on new referrers & repeat referrers who have not been in contact in the last 12 months.
- Identify opportunities for further growth and innovative approaches to sales/Business Development.
- Ensure leads/repeat referrers are updated in CRM system (Lumary)
- Managing sales pipeline and reporting.
- Managing CareChoice presence at industry events, expo’s, conference stands, events, seminars, and forums as required.
- Relationship management of existing referrers/stakeholders.
About you
The successful candidate will have a pro active attitude, you’ll have a high degree of initiative and strong desire to achieve outstanding results for our clients. You will also have the desire to perform the role with the highest level of professionalism and integrity; with the view of always representing the organisation in a positive and professional manner.
Ideally you'll have:
- 3+ years experience in a sales and Business Development role.
- Proven track record in meeting sales targets.
- Exceptional sales ‘drive’.
- Ability to identify opportunities, both small and large scale.
- Strong ability to build rapport with a wide range of individuals.
- Analytical approach to problem solving.
- High level computer ‘literacy’.
- Understanding of the disability sector would be an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field â highly desirable.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid and current Victorian Driver's Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current First Aid and CPR â HLTAID0011 and HLTAID009 (or willingness to obtain)
