Business Development Manager, ANZ
As a Business Development Manager, your focus will be to develop new client relationships as well as maintain existing corporate client relationships with Pacific headquartered companies across a variety of industry sectors and sub-sectors.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work across our Aon offices in ANZ.

What the day will look like
Direct sales of cutting-edge software, technology and platform relating to HR data and analytical products, developing new clients and maintaining existing corporate clients across Pacific headquartered companies
Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross sell solutions across the People Solutions portfolio in the Pacific
Manage relationships with key industry clients across Human Capital Solutions to ensure retention targets are met
Manage any inbound leads from website queries, marketing campaigns and webinars, as well as outbound outreach to develop own pipeline of new business
Interact with prospects in the HR function to CXO level across emerging companies to global enterprises, proactively developing and maintaining mutually beneficial productive relationships
Manage annual client renewals including expanding survey participation and other offerings
Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to negotiating terms of sales and closing business
Understand various broader Aon offerings to listen out for expanded opportunities and coordinate accordingly internally with the relevant subject matter experts.
Active and continuous initiative to learn and maintain knowledge of Aon product offering

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Minimum 5+ years Sales experience in a solution/service selling environment
Experience selling into the Human Resources function will be an advantage
An understanding of the Financial Services and Tech sectors would be an advantage
Independent, self-driven and commitment to ongoing learning
Professional selling and account management skills, negotiation and closing via phone and online environment
Strong organizational and time management skills to establish and meet goals and daily priorities independently
Prior use of Salesforce and online meeting presentation tools for selling (WebEx)
Outlook efficiency and Excel experience essential
Ability to actively listen and act autonomously on a prospect/clients’ questions, goals, and objectives to provide superior service
Quick analytical listening to assess what drives client reliance on Aon’s resources
Professional verbal and written communication skills
A great teammate who can work collaboratively across the team
