We are searching for a dynamic Specialist Business Development Manager (SBDM) based in Sydney. Someone looking to take the next step in their sales career, moving to focus on both government and enterprise sales with a combination of long and medium sales cycles.
The primary aim of the Specialist Business Development Manager is to proactively engage with territory prospects, work with clients to identify opportunities to
- Improve Operational Performance and Compliance in real time and over time
- Enhance Safety and Security for all transport users
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Experiences
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Meet or exceed sales targets by identifying prospects and their needs, developing value and match to solution offers, propose, and close opportunities for Smart Transport solutions
- Work closely with product team to ensure alignment with local market needs and advocate for client features needed to solve business problems.
- Work closely with marketing and other sales teams to ensure brand visibility and demand generation that supports One NEC business goals.
- Manage account planning and proposal development so that NEC's brand is aligned with both the customer's and NEC's business objectives and requirements.
- Travel as necessary to deliver requirements of the role.
- 5+ years' experience in a quota carrying sales role within target market selling similar or related solutions.
- 5+ years in consultative sales within target market selling similar or related solution.
- Experience in telematics (AVL, FMS), vehicle comms IoT & Radio, mobile IoT market with knowledge of existing market dynamics, policies, and practices within the marketplace
- Highly desirable to have experience of Multi Modal Passenger Information systems or public transport contracting or mobile fleet operations in the target market.
- Demonstrated ability to build pipeline and achieve an annual sales quota
- Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into practical solutions.
- Proven ability to create compelling proposals and value propositions.
- Experience and visibility of lengthy, complex sales cycles with multiple influencers
- Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate qualification desirable
