BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

This role presents a genuine leadership opportunity with the potential to advance into a State Manager position as revenue increases. Your main role will involve enhancing customer relations and driving growth. You'll provide exceptional service and expertise to build trust with clients. You'll also go beyond just sales to truly grasp customer needs. With the help of skilled technical and customer service teams, you'll work with a dedicated group to maintain long-lasting relationships and support rapid growth.

Your key areas of responsibility:

Client Interaction, Sales Conversion, and Relationship Building:

  • Proactively engage with clients to strengthen relationships and respond promptly to inquiries.
  • Guide prospects through the sales process to convert leads into confirmed orders.
  • Schedule and conduct regular in-person meetings to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners.
  • Connect with various clients and partners to understand their needs and secure long-term connections.

Innovative Lead Generation and Detail-Oriented Analysis:

  • Utilise advanced research techniques to uncover new projects and clients.
  • Analyse project specifications in detail to create accurate and compelling quotations.

Creative Problem Solving, Pipeline Management, and Industry Engagement:

  • Address challenges creatively, providing tailored solutions for each project.
  • Efficiently manage the sales pipeline using CRM systems for tracking leads and progress.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.

ABOUT YOU

You're a seasoned sales professional with a deep mechanical understanding and a solid grasp of the complexities of the markets our client operates in. You're driven and committed, with a hunger for success. Excelling in building relationships, you seize new business opportunities to drive growth.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Possess a genuine hunger, drive, and determination to achieving success.
  • Proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical concepts.
  • Skilled in confidently engaging with diverse stakeholders, from technical staff such as diesel fitters, through to senior management, while prioritising top-notch customer service.
  • Strong grasp of filtration technology for heavy machinery and equipment, with a willingness to expand knowledge.
  • Possess a comprehensive or adaptable understanding of our client’s market.
  • Proven track record in lead generation, sales cycle navigation, and deal closure, with a strong focus on developing lasting client relationships.
  • Willing to travel extensively to mine sites and centres for client interaction.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships.
  • Fundamental IT and CRM software proficiency (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce).
