What you will enjoy doing

  • You will take the lead in identifying, developing, and commercializing new B2B business prospects, primarily through cold calling
  • Your focus will be on the Industrial, Hospitality, and LPG markets, where your industry knowledge will identify new opportunities for Elgas
  • Understanding Your Customers and Creating Value: You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of our diverse customer base, this knowledge will empower you to identify and target potential new business prospects effectively, using your insights to convey the value that Elgas provides to our customers
  • Strategic Call Cycle Management: Design and implement a structured call cycle aimed at achieving new business targets
  • Your skill in following up with existing prospects will be crucial in guiding them through the sales process
  • Sales Process: Skilfully move customers through the sales process. This involves not only selling the value of the Elgas PSO but also excelling in negotiation and objection handling, ensuring a seamless customer journey from start to finish
  • Achieving Targets: Commit to consistently meeting or exceeding your targets, including new customer wins, customer volume, cylinders on rent, and margin. Your performance in these areas will be a testament to your sales acumen
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Effectively manage your sales pipeline to reach and exceed monthly new business targets. This requires a blend of strategic planning and thorough oversight of your ongoing sales initiatives
  • You will oversee the customer onboarding process, ensuring new clients have a positive and seamless experience. Your involvement will be key in nurturing long-term customer relationships
  • Collaborative Team Efforts: Collaborate closely with your local branch and team members. Exchange leads and work collectively to achieve the sales and service goals for your area, creating a culture of teamwork and shared success
  • In regard to our CRM System Maintenance, you will consistently maintain data, customer information, opportunities, and wins in our CRM system. Your record-keeping will be essential for tracking your achievements and providing Elgas with the valuable insights it needs to maintain market leadership
  • You will ensure that all customers have a valid supply agreement upon onboarding. Additionally, assist in re-signing key customer contracts as needed, maintaining compliance and upholding our service standards
  • Reporting and Market Intelligence: Provide monthly reports to your sales manager. These reports should highlight your activities, successes, and key market insights, offering a clear view of your contributions to our business goals
What makes you great
  • You possess 2-3 years industrial gas field sales experience - preferred but not essential
  • Further, you bring strong selling and Business Development skills
  • You have excellent time management skills, are results focused and take initiative
  • You are a natural negotiator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Clean and valid driver's license
  • You have two to three (2-3) years field sales experience

The Role is defined as 70% new business, 30% account management.
