The position:
As a 2IC to the COO, you will be tasked with supporting them in all aspects of their Funds Management and General Duties. This is a unique and varied role that covers all aspects of Fund operation activities, financial tasks and compliance responsibilities.
Main responsibilities:
Liaison with Registry and Accounting providers for reporting purposes
Preparation of committee papers including submissions and minutes
Maintenance of asset files
Ensuring compliance with AML legislation
Liaison with Custodian and including daily reviews and reconciliations
Streamlining and enhancing processes
Researching and investigating fund-related questions or issues
Providing backup and assistance to the COO in general business tasks
MYOB support including overseeing accounts and bank reconciliations.
Development of internal management reports
Liaison with external accountants on accounting issues
Prepare, monitor, and maintain compliance policies
Requirements:
To be successful in the role, you should be degree qualified and have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Fund Administration or in a Senior Accounting Administrative role, with demonstrated proficiency in managing various Fund admin issues and relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Exposure to financial markets operations is preferred, along with essential skills in Excel and Word. Familiarity with accounting principles and MYOB, as well as a working knowledge of credit or fixed income assets, is advantageous. Prior experience in compliance would be beneficial.
