Business Services Manager

My firm are a AFR Top 100 Accounting Firm based in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs. They are looking for an experienced Business Services Manager to join their team.

The Role:

1. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored financial solutions.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of up to 11 accountants and financial professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
3. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, improve service offerings, and enhance operational effectiveness.
4. Business Development: Identify opportunities for business expansion, cross-selling of services, and client acquisition, working closely with the sales and marketing teams.
5. Compliance: Stay updated with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring full compliance and adherence to ethical principles.
6. Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members, supporting their professional development and career progression.

About You:

• 8+ years of supervisory, leadership and technical experience to successfully undertake the role
• CA/CPA Qualified 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, supervisory and client service skills required.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required.
• High level of competency and confidence in presenting to clients and other stakeholders
• A strong knowledge of tax/Business Services compliance
• Demonstrable experience and skill in effectively leading and managing a team to achieve and exceed KPI’s
