My client are a well established and highly successful Public Practice Accounting Firm located in Mansfield, Victoria.
They provide services to a broad range of business clients including companies, agribusiness, trusts, partnerships, superannuation funds, sole traders as well as to wage and salary earners.
They have a dedicated and skilled team of accountants, assistant accountants, bookkeepers and administration staff. They ensure that our team participate in ongoing professional development to ensure we continue to provide a high quality and professional service to our clients.

Your new role
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation of Financial Statements & Income Tax Returns
- Tax compliance for all entities including Trusts, Companies, SMSF and partnerships
- FBT, BAS and IAS preparation
- Preparing strategic advice for client meetings
- Developing relationships with existing and new clients and working alongside them to help develop their business
- Identifying, researching, and solving complex tax issues & communicating that advice to both partners and clients
- Identifying potential opportunities for both new and existing clients
- Identifying and assist with implementing new technologies that can streamline workflow and improve our client's businesses
- Experience in all aspects of SMSF administration and tax preparation in Class based Software (not essential)
- Able to provide SMSF strategies to place in a formal advice document (not essential)
What you'll need to succeed
- Have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role in a Public Practice accounting firm
- Hold a Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce/Business degree.
- Must be a Qualified CPA or CA
- Hold relevant corticate to be a limited authorised representative for SMSF advice (not essential)
- Able to use MYOB. Xero and other accounting software products
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs
- Experience with Sage HandiSoft products and Class Super (preferred but not essential)
- Be passionate about helping people
- Able to manage & prioritise client work
- Able to delegate tasks to junior staff where appropriate
- Be proficient in providing instruction, guidance & reviewing the work of team members
- Able to articulate tax matters in a simple, easy to understand way and have an easy-going communication style.
